I personaly did not see a fine line in this article. This was full out verbal harasment. The sheriff stated that when he made comments like "dizzy bitch" and "piece of Canadian bacon" he was just foolin around. makeing such statements to any person can be disturbing. When "foolin" around, one must keep in mind who they are talking to and what you might say to them. Physicians have a huge aray of communication skills. From the time they are a freshman in college, to when they are practicing with a profesional, physician students gradualy build on there communication skills. I give tons of credit to physicians. Someone who is willing to take anothers life into his/her hands is a remarkable challange. Physicians have to be able to communicate with childeren and five min later, be able to communicate with an elder. These are changing communitive people and most do a wonderful job. I agree that financial trust in a realationship is just as important as trust in fidelity. If a couple cannot be truthful about spending habits, how are couples accually supposed to have a long and happy marraige? This is a majior problem in todays society, I belive thats why there is a much higher divorice rate today than 20 or 30 years ago. Simply said, but hard to do, but if a couple can have a strong communication in ALL aspects of a growing relationship there shouldent be many problems.

Abusing the Freedom of Expression

Now this is a hot topic! You can read the full article at http://usa.mediamonitors.net/content/view/full/26466. When the United Sates constitution was wrote, I don't rember there ever being any seperate claues telling who can write or say this and who can't. What the constition does state however, is that we have freedom of expression. Of course cartoonist, journalist, and people who simply want noticed will write and do things that are way "immoral" to society standerds. The Danish newspaper who had the offensive caricatures of Prophet Mohammed sure dident go unrealized now did it? When people do offensive things sometimes those are the ones that get remebered the most. So why not write about offensive topics or twist the truth a bit to get a reader or lisiners attintion? I think freedom of expession is simply what it means FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION meaning NO LIMITS!!!!

Prepare for your interview

How many of you think of an interview as a game? Well you better start thinking of it as a game and maybe your next interview you will get the call back you have allways waited for. Think about it, there and many individuals trying to win the same thing you are "a job". Allmost everytime the finale factor is which person had the better communication, preparation skills. Some of the key skills to have are listening, good grammer, politeness, and honesty. I agree with this artile in what it has to say. More so small bussiness need to keep thier employes, but so do larger bussiness. A small bussiness would feel the affect of an emplye leaving them, so i can see were an artile much like this one would focus on smaller bussinesses. If an onwer, boss, or president of the bussiness can keep employes happy, that bussiness will do much better off than a bussiness with unhappy emplyes. After all the employes are the ones most of your customers talk with and deal with on a day to day base. I do agreee there are many days were you just want to quick or just scream as load as you can, but if you communicate with what ever the problem is, you might find out that there can be easyer and less frustrating ways of solving the problem. So next time you think your boss is all to blame, try talking with him/her to find a way to solve the problem.

Internet Strengthens Social Interaction

I completly disagreee with this article. When i read this article at http://www.teleclick.ca/2006/01/how-the-internet-strengthens-social-interaction/ I was completly takin away by its meanings. What this article simply states is that by means of E-Mail, chat rooms, and others like msn or yahoo, people have been able to stengthen thier social interaction. Now don't get me wrong I do belive that chating and E-mail and extrtemly helpful tools in a moderen technology world, but these handy tools do not help social interaction. Social interaction is being in a social inviorment not in the luxury of ones home sitting at a computer. The only way one can strengthen thier social skills is to simply go out in the real world and intraduce them selfs to others. Thats what social interaction is!

Wife's late night out concerns husband.

This article found at http://dailynews.com/entertainment/ci_3546746 talks about a guy who writes in asking about trust with his wife, because she went to a conference and the last night he found out she was out until 4 a.m. this worried him and tryed to talk to his wfe about it but she blew it off like it was nothing. I think in any realationship, both the man and women need to have extremly strong communication skills. If my girlfriend (of 5 years) went out for a night on the town with some friends I honestly belive I wouldent mind. When I found out from a friend that she was out until 4 a.m., I would be just like the man in the artile and have worries about trust in our realtionship. Trust and honesty are key componets in any realtionship but are a must have in a dating or marriage realationship.

Nonverbal Communication-Touch

Touching in are culture is very different than many others. Males who embrase each other in are culture, would be looked at much different than other culture when men walk down the street with arms around each other because it is a means of showing they are close friends rather homosexual. The fact that most americans belive that when men embrase each other they must be gay. Other than the fact of men touching each other, touching is much more powerful than verbal communication in situations were someone is in sorrow. So try touching out (in a respectful way of means), and see just how powerful it can be.

Clean The Wax From Your Ears

This article located at http://ecglink.com/library/ps/wax.html is a key componet not only to pass collage speech classes, but to have effect speech skills in the work force and in general conversations. this article gives wonderful examples of how to clear up ones own spech. This article gives seven easy steps to master to become a person who can give off a great first impresstion. Most people have this theroy that only a few select gave that "gift" of wonderful first impresstions. This article will help you become one of those "select" few. Some of the steps include focus on the other, the eyes have it, and it's never to late. To find out more, read this article and you will be glad you have read it. My favorite two rules are "the eyes have it" rule, which simply talks about eye contact is one of the most powerful tools in speech, and "the getting over your bad hair day" rule. Bad hair day rule talks about when someone is complaining about there "bad day" or hair or whatever the bad might be, which complaining in such a maner will give off one negitive impression that is hard to change. This article is a must read.

Six Ways to Get Along Better

This article located at http://www.pertinent.com/articles/communication/kareCom3.asp was an intersesting article. Author Kare Anderson gives six simple rules to communicating better with other people. Sidle is a new word in my vocabulary, sidle means facing each other. Anderson gives example of were this takes place all the time, and how to fix "facing off" and sitting side by side or take a walk will help people remeber more out of a conversation. Looking for the underlying issue, Detect lying earlier, Come back to your scents, Be vividly specific, and the most interesting to me was Be "plainly clear." This rule, being plainly clear talks about not wearing patterned clothing or other detailed clothing especially on the upper half of the body because it shortens the attention speand of the reciver. How pattrened clothing takes away the attention spaend of peole is beyond me, but this was a great article to read.

Work Grapevine

This article Work Grapevine simply talks about how messages can easiely get distorted in the work place if information is not provided correctly. Having correct and fluent "gossip" about the meeting notes that day, or whats going on within the company, can be solved by five easy steps. First consider the source, second don't be the messanger, third look for signs, fourth get ALL the facts, and fifth read the writing on the wall. People can take the information of this article and apply it to school. Follow the five steps and one will have few problems when it comes to testing day. I personally agree with this article. In the workforce and life in general people seem to ALLWAYS get information twisted around some how and the wrong information at the wrong time can be harmful in many more ways than one!

Trying to be Cute.
Laura Laaman discusses an ocation she had about being insalted by not only a co worker, but the owner himself.
